Poem by: L. Hoover
You know it often seems that when it starts to rain it pours,
the stress accumulates like clouds then falls down in storms/
And you don't always have a warm place to soothe the soul,
in your needing a little shelter from a world so cold/
I know the feeling when your future looks so bright that it shines,
until the storms get so bad the rain blinds your eyes/
The tears you've cried over mistakes you may have made in the past,
forms a mist making it harder not to lost your path/
And it all saturates the ground until it starts to blend,
now the foundation where you once stood is pulling you in/
And the pressure's building up like waves flooding in from sea,
the stress is filling up your lungs making it hard to breathe/
But please... don't give up do what you can to stay strong,
cause hope floats you gotta hold on.
